Default 92 3000GT VR4

just went to port oconnor, tx for a fishing trip. the guide had a 92 3000GT VR4 so we started talking about cars. he told me that he has never lost a race...apparently his daughter ran the car after the water pump went out so it destroyed the engine. mitsubishi replaced the motorwith a brand new TT engine but the rest of the car has 120,000 miles on it.

his kill list as he says:
NSX (not sure of the year) said he took it all the way to 160mph
all mustangs (5.0's and 4.6's)
C5 vette

i know those things are TT and all wheel drive but are they really that fast? like i said, it was completely stock but looked brand spankin new, he took really good care of it. I wish i would have taken my car down there and i would have raced him but it was a company trip so we had to take the company trucks...no chance in an F-150 v8 work series...

You would definitely need to be lightly modded to hang with it stock! My dad had the first 3000GT VR4 in NY, and he literally never lost a race. Vettes, Porsches, Camaro's, Stangs all saw his taillights! Definitely ahead of it's time, and not given the clout it deserves.

BTW, way to steal my avatar d@ckhead! [:@][8D]

i've had this avator for almost two years...i have actually contimplated telling you the same thing, just never felt it was a big deal...actually considered you to have good taste, in both cars and avators...haha

back to the car though, the best i have run is a 12.5 @ 112 on drags and a 12.9 on my street tires...do you think i would have had a problem? i figured with it being AWD, it may have the same results as an STI...small turbo'd motor with AWD so i would take him from a dig...who knows, just curious

Those VR4's are definitely no joke broham.. I ran into one a few months on my way back from VA Beach to TX, and the thing toasted me bigtime.. If the guy behind the wheel has the driver mod in check, they're definitely a force to be reckoned with..

I think you would be able to take a stock one pretty easily if that is what you are running

I love those cars though, very sexy lines

3000GT VR4, RX7 TT, Supra TT, and 300ZX TT all were drivers races with each others.

I think with your DR's you should beat him, without definitely a drivers race.
