IIRC the NSX engine is the strongest motor they make, and then the S2k motor at 240bhc. The K20a2 would be the 3rd I believe.

No, the regular K20 is better than than the A2. S2000 motors are nice for what they are but they are very limited. But yes a K20 in an EG can hit 12's stock.

Smallest in displacement yes but not in power. The D series is the base model, sh*ttiest motor they make. They are SOHC while the B,H, and K are DOHC. I spanked my buddies B swapped hatch in my wifes 98 sixer. The only thing they have going for they is the weight of their wind up toys. One of the biggest reasons they like the CRX so much.
The D series motors aren't all that bad. The D16Z6(1.6 SOHC VTEC), found in the92-95 EX's and Si's, are a handful for a stock 5.0 or Npi 4.6, with just a few bolt-ons (cai, header, andfull exhaust will put them into themid-low 15's, which is the best a stock 5.0 or npi 4.6 could do with an AOD tranny). And there's also no way that a single port sixxer would take a B16 swapped Civic. A 99-00Civic Si, which comes stock with a B16 andweighs more than a hatch, is good for mid 15's bone stock. A hatch would be good for a low 15-high 14. A single port sixxer is onlygood for a high 16-low 17 in the 1/4.

the K20 is the strongest motor acura/honda makes. Its the motor in the Acura RSX-S's. when put into an eg9 hatchback honda, they are pretty quick.
I can only imagine what swapping a K20 would do. Just a bone stock H22 swapped into a hatch will pull a low 14-high 13.

The k20z3 is the engine found in the new si and the rsx type s and is one of the best and easily modded honda engines out there.

Yea well, I pulled away from my buddies car and no one said anything about going down the 1/4 mile either. The K20 in ahatch is a swap I would do if I liked Honda's. Me and a buddy were suppsoed to do one until his car was stolen and he moved back home. A guy at work is wanting to drop a h23 I have sittin in my garage into his Del Sol or do a H to B setup which is really a much better setup. That motor is from a H22 swap I did to a another guys Prelude.

IDk what D series/ 5.0 matches you have seen but I have never seen a 5.0 lose to a D series honda. And 5.0's stock have been proven to run mid to low 14's. MM&FF did a track test and ran a 13.9 a few years back in a stocksetup except for some mufflers.

Yeah, there's really no point in dumping money into a D series when Bs are as cheap as they are. There's one around here making 700whp on a D though. Not sure how long it'll last, but I can post the dyno if anyone is interested in seeing it.

What about the engine in the TL-S? The 3.2L V6 with V-TAKKK?[8D]

Well, I was just comparing times, because that's what you do when you drag race. A car with a better 1/4 mile time is going to be quicker. Andyeah, light Notches, with no options can run low 14's, but you won't see it too often. Your average 5.0 you're going to find isn't going to be a stripper notch. It's going to usually be a GT with quite a few options. That's the way it is around where I live, atleast. And even with a 5speed, you're going to be pretty lucky to see a high 14, in a Fox GT. With an AOD tranny, good luck findinglow-mid15's even. That's the D series/5.0 matches I've seen.
