some kid at my school just got an old mitsubishi eclipse gsx...he said it has a 2nd generation evo turbo in it and sounds like...sh*t lol. Any way its a manual and mine is an auto...shouldn't I win?

 

god no, it entirely depends on what all he has done, those cars can detroy you for rather cheap... watch out. give me a mod list for him and i can give you an estimate. plus he needs to be able to drive.

 

well thats basically all he has done to, he said an upgraded clutch and a 2nd generation evo tuner...i assume theres a few other minor mods who knows. He bought the car for 1800$. I just can't believe that that little thing would beat me.

 

he also said that its running 13.0- 13's at the track...which i also find hard to believe but what do i know

 

You might be in for a suprise if he's swapped out the turbo. You'd be fine against a stock one.

 

i dunno if i agree with you there.. the older ones had 195-210hp, for years 1990-1999, 3100-3200 lbs

im sure they respond well to mods.. but the hp/weight ratio doesnt look in their favor

maybe if you knew how many lbs of boost he was running now with the new turbo.. and if it actually has a good tune.. a lot of variables there.. stock.. absolutely you should beat him.. modded? who knows for sure till you know what he runs.. if he actually went to the track and has a 13.0 slip then we know..

 

It all depends on mods and how much boost he's running.He could be pushing 300+whp.If that's the case from a dig it'll be a drivers race with the edge going to him. From a roll, you're gonna get walked hard.

 

Dont underestimate that car at all.

 

My buddy ran 11.2 @ 127..... Looks stock.. cant even hear it. Better hope you go from a roll.

 

damn surprising, He either said 8 or 9 pounds of boost I believe
