to get technical , in the automotive industry it's 14.64 . and boost/psi is a measurement of manifold pressure .

I'm going to back 1990camarors up on this one. A bar is equal to one atmosphere. Atmospheric pressure at sea level is 14.7 Psig.

You can also measure boost in megapascals. For some retarded reason, the stock boost guage on my old WRX measured in MPAs...I was like wtf?

the hvac & other industries use 14.7:1 . but ask any tuner , its 14.64 in the ecm . when I'm discussinga/f I say 14.7 all the time , but when I'm tuning & doing calculations I use 14.64 cuz thats whats inthe software .
