The R/T model has 172hp (128kW) 2.4L version of the GEMA engine, equipped with the CVT2 transmission, and programmed with an 'AutoStick' feature giving six simulated fixed ratios in a clutchless manual mode in addition to the standard CVT 'Drive' mode. All-wheel-drive is currently an option on the R/T model. 18-inch aluminum wheels are standard, while chromed are an option. At launch, the CVT2 with all-wheel drive was the only powertrain combination available for the R/T. A front-wheel drive variant with the T355 5-speed manual transmission commenced production in late summer 2006. ABS is standard, and the suspension and steering are tuned for performance.
Externally, the R/T is distinguishable by body-color/chrome door handles (replacing black on other models), a chrome side molding, chromed exhaust tip, and front fog lights as standard, as well as R/T badging and big *****.
Internally, the car comes as standard with color-keyed fabric seat inserts, leather seats being an option as on the SXT. Color-keyed instrument panel trim is also standard, as is a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls and speed control, and a cargo area cover (all options on the SXT).

EDIT: meh it was fun while it lasted... it was there for a whole 2 minutes [8D]

Very nice purchase, IMO. Congrats on the new ride Lieu!
I wish you were in the area, I'd love to line up with you in this MS3 just to see how they stack up in a straight line..
Pics??

Test Drive Impressions:
Stopped at a local dealer that had two CSRT4's on the lot, and drove both of them. Each for about 20 miles.
To make a long story short, this is a nice little car. Quite roomy, particularly back seat leg room. Fold the rear seats down and it becomes pretty versatile.
Engine:
Very smooth, a bit more refined than the old Neon engine. Power deliver is smooth, but the turbo takes a little longer to spool up than the Neon. Possibly due to it being a larger turbo.
Transmission:
Buttery smooth 6-speed trans. Linkage is very positive, and I ran it through the gears with ease. Shifter location is an improvement over the Neon also. It is higher up and provides better leverage.
Interior:
Well, to be fair, I like the layout very much, but they do skimp on hard plastic. Some soft touch plastics on the door and dash would do wonders, and a little more color or trim would be nice also. Also, closing the door hard was almost painful to hear. Not enough sound deadening material perhaps?
Seats are EXCELLENT.
Ride/Comfort:
Very impressive for this type of car. The car with the F1'semitted more road noise. Overall the ride is not at all harsh, and cabin noise is very acceptable. I'd do a little dynomat, just because I'm a freek about noise.
Verdict:
Ibought a black one for 23K.

Too bad the MS3 won't mod/respond as easily though.[&o]
the thing its that there is no tuning yet available just the cobb ap and i dont like any of the maps they came out with, but with what they have available like dp, rp,fmic, etc you could see over 300 whp and 340 tq, from a roll this car really move.

As much as I never really wanted a Neon SRT4,I think it was a pretty good bang for the buck while it lasted. The caliber looks OK in person.I guess Chrysler made a move to combine the Neon with some more room in an effort to attract more customers.

I thought they were pretty ugly from the pictures, but I saw one in traffic last week and they look alot better in person
I wouldn't buy one but they do look a bit better than I originally thought
