So I just picked up my mustang about a month ago. Its an 88 5.0 5-speed. I was out with one of my buddies and this guy in a volvo kept trying to get me to race him so finally at a light i was like lets do it. He got me off the line cause i have a bad clutch and can't launch it, but as soon as i hit second i flew by him. When i hit forth i was going under a pair of bridges and in between there was a state cop just chillin. i hesitated and my friend was like "go go go" so i downshifted to third and lost the cop. I thought cop cars were supposed to be fast guess I was wrong.

 

They are, top end. A crown vic I hear can run 150 plus.(police intercepter) you must of caught him sleeping, if he had any idea you were there YOU CAN'T OUT RUN THE RADIO[>:]

 

I think some of the crowns can run faster then 150.

(sometimes they put dummys in the cop cars....)

 

haha my friend and i lose cops all the time in his STI .. and my friend also gets into high speed chases with cops on his bike and loses them ... lets hope he doesnt crash/get caught anytime soon. hahaha

 

he was getting off the highway i was like what the F***? i just got off probation for wreckless driving i can't get cought again.

 

STi should be able to dust any cop car unless its a z06....and for a bike........please. dont even get me started on a bike...


but, nice win over the volvo i guess.............although, volvo's aint much unless it was one of the newer ones that are turbo. but, a win is a win

 

Maybe you shouldnt be street racing anymore.

 

I don't know about you guys but I pass cops all the time going the opposite way and I see them radioing in my car to other cops all the time, it's ridiculous. I had two cops pull out behind me off side streets one night after I passed another cop going the other way. My city's cops suck [:'(]

 

I wasn't racing when I got the wrecklass i flipped a car going about 100. It was over 2 years ago

 

Lol! My point exactly, you roll a car doing way over the speed limit, and now you are racing another car while passing a police officer! Maybe you shouldnt be street racing.
