For those that think 420 RWHP is not Goddamn fast, may I please ask what you are smoking? By no means am I a nutswinger, or think my car is godly fast. Since Ashram and I have very similar power levels, with him having a decent amount more of torque than I, I would have to say it is goddamn fast. Everyone has their own definition of goddamn fast. A car running 9's is goddamn fast. So, why wouldn't a car wtih over 500 HP and TQ in the engine be goddamn fast? Everything this a C6Z06 is goddamn fast, and has similar #'s. Sure, it can run 11's, hell even 10's as it sits. But to say that a 420 rwhp GT is not that great, is plain and simple nuts.

 

HAH! An on-topic update!!

I just went shopping down at the local Stop n Shop. I pulled into the parking lot and there are two cop cars sitting outside in the firelane, with 2 cops standing and talking next to the back of the second one. I pull in and take a minute getting the top up and taking my ipod, and then get out and walk to the store. As I pass them (they are parked right near one of the entrances) the one cop says "Hey; is that a cobra?" I smile and said no, supercharged GT, he says he it looks nice, I say thanks... and then he says, with a smile, "Yeah I think I saw you yesterday. Keep it under the speed limit."

Hah!

As soon as he said that the first thing I thought is "OHHHH update to the post!"

Anyway, there you go. Dunno if it answers the "Did they call ahead?" question, but at least I know they saw me.

 

Which is both good and bad. If anything ever happens to your car, they know what it looks like. Vice Versa.

 

Yeah... I figure it is more bad than good, but honestly I almost NEVER drive the car (hence few street and strip posts...) so I can't imagine I will get in THAT much trouble.

It's always funny when someone says things like My car is goddamnfast. These kind of comments are usally blurted out because people are excited about their cars. Fast is relative. I grew up in the 80s when cars sucked! So fast to me was anything that could manage a 14.5. To someone that grew up around top fuel dragsters a 420HP mustang is like an Aveo. If you have 420 to the wheels you'll win more races than you lose on grudge night at the local track. Keep on enjoying your god damn fast car.

Yeah, my original post was definately just from the fun of having just taken it for a ride, and a more aggressive ride than usual

And btw, I do like the SRT4s; I just had to give my buddy back there a hard time.

 

At least he said it with a smile! Bad......they all know you have a blower on it now. Good.....maybe they will be cool and cut you a wee bit of slack knowing it's capabilities of being a.......gotta say it.......damned fast car

I think it also helped that they saw I am an older guy and not some young kid.

And if worse comes to worse, I have a few PBA cards given to me by the officers I teach DARE with, so...

Anyway, I am going for another ride in my... not slow car.
