^^^Errrmmm.... 89' 5.0 w/ bolt ons > 97' NPI 4.6 w/ bolt ons.. The 97-98 NPI shortblocks were probably the most under-powered GT mustang ever made if you ask me.. Now if you had a PI head swap that'd be different.. But assuming the guy with the 5.0 can drive, I think he's faster brudda.. Especially with your gears.. 3.27's [:'(]You need to get 3.55's or 3.73's at least, if not4.10's broham.. That's just me though..

I'm supprsied he didn't beat you bad, the 5.0's tend to respond to basic bolt ons a little better than the npi 4.6s plus he weighs less than you

Why would you think you would win, you guys have the same hp stock?

Ehhh, I'd go the one step further and get the 4:10's.. They're not going to hurt your gas mileage that much if at all, and they'll get you off the line better than the 3.90's will.. And perhaps it's just me, but I seem to hear a lot of people complaining about gear-whine from the 3.90's too.. at least from the FRPP's anyway.. Get the PI swap and gears and you'll be worlds better off..
