I suppose it wasn't clear enough. This topic is OBVIOUSLY about racing a Mini Cooper, and I only stated he had a Saleen, didn't say I raced it. The guy above me understood it right.

Ok let me be the one to be an @ss and drop the bomb on this. The only way you beat a Saleen SC Stang is if the Saleen driver is retarded. Let's face it, a 290ish rwhp X-Charged v6 isn't gunna keep up with a Saleen v8 SC stang putting out probably 350+ rwhp.
And the mini cooper is turbo'd.

The Mini Cooper is quick, but it will not beat a Mustang power for power. What I mean by that is...well, check this out.
There is a guy in my neighborhood who has a Special Edition 2008 Saleen Supercharged and a Mini Cooper S Supercharged (or turbo?) aftermarket. And I have a friend who has a Mini Cooper that was turbocharged from the factory.
I raced both and won both with my X-Charger. The supercharged Mini Cooper really gave me the most run for my money, but I still won.
Stock vs stock or SC vs SC...I think the mustang wins. And from my personal experience, it has.

Can I add my 2 cents?Thanks!The Mini Cooper with all the stuff is still a slug.I believe that I would put my money on the sixxer stang.I had a wrong wheel drive 300hp 06' Impala SS V8 and I raped some Mini special S,Works IDFK really but nit had some Big Ben tach on the dash and some dorks in it that thought SS meant slow ****!Well actually it did,I think my SS was good for LOW 14's.Good enough to whip the Mini with 3 people in my car.Go rape that turd and report back.

Havnt they already gotten those cars in the 14 second stock? A good driven 6 speed mini should bet a s197 v6 if driven well. If your ss was good for low 14s it would also beat the "sixer stang" with eaase. My friend has an 07 mini cooper s. back when he only had exhaust. Off roll, he would take me everytime. Those minis are pretty quick, especially off roll.

I honestly expected more from the Mini.It was a roll out on the interstate.Not a race of choice but one where these guys kept taunting me so I yelled that I would leave on them.I shouldn't have called it a rape,It tried hard to keep up when i passed it but couldn't.I would say they were either badged up or didn't really know how to drive in my race as we didn't exactly pull over on the interstate to talk shop afterwards.It did say S in red and works something or other so i figured it would have gotten me.Maybe from a dig?Still pulling for the Stang.
