alright thanks for the responses. my friend was getting one and i was checkin to see if i needed to save up for some mods before i get beat to bad. maybe a cai, tune, an headers will get the job done if not then i will just have to hear it from him for a while.

 

Personally I think it would be a close race stock. I think the drivers would decide this one. Just race him and find out. And as for getting headers......If you do headers you will want to do the rest of the exhaust system cause you want to start from the back to the front. Think about it. If you put headers on first there will still be a restriction on the rest of the exhaust....and then the headers won't be at there full potential

 

you should be good with just the CAI/Custom Tune. i would get a GT takeoff muff instead of the headers first. same, if not better gain, for a dirt cheap price. good luck and let us know what happens!

 

oh i forgot to add that i have the magnaflow catback dual exhaust system. but does anyone have any suggestions on what cai and what tune would give me the best performance?

 

any CAI with over-sized MAF housing and a "CUSTOM" tune!......VMP has the best value for performance with their custom cai/tuner combo.

 

to check i took on a girl i know last night accelerating from a stop at atraffic light intersection to the speed limit [60] with my V6 against her RX-8

I pulled away pretty easily, but I have a 93 tune and CAI combofrom Brenspeed... so I think that if you're a good driver and your car is tuned you should win

 

i like my c&l with my evolution tune.
