So whats it gonna take...
To beat this guys car. The track is at an elevation of 3720 feet.
Timeslip in the first post of the thread and hes pulling a 12.08 at this altitude. Pretty fast yes? If you read the whole thing hes thinking high 11s are possible soon.
As a reference Mishri ran a 14.7 at the same track a few weeks ago with his 07 GT w/CAI and Tune. After DA adjustment it was a 13.4 I think.

That's what I was thinking and if he gets any quicker (he's predicting 11.8) then it's nearly 3 seconds worth of time needing to be cut off just to keep up with him.
With full bolt ons and FI is that going to cut it?

I say you need tohave FI with around460rwhp with full suspension and drag tires.

S197 with Stock Short Block, Whipple (15-16 psi! Ouch!)and Alky Injection has been 10s at low altitude.
Its still running but its harder than I would want to push it.
My guess is your simplest method to get their with stock short-block intact would be
1. Series II Whipple pulleyed for 12.5 psi at your altitude (They have seen this with stock pulley at low altitude).
2. Kooks Headers with Full Exhaust.
3. Custom Tune
4. Good Suspension + Fats and Skinnies.
5. Aluminum Driveshaft + Safety Loops (Dont trust the stock two piece)
6. Good Motor mounts and trans torque limiters.
7. Spec Stage III+ Clutch with new stock slave cylinder.
The stock input shaft and slave cylinder may be suspect but im trying to keep the price under control.
PS a Tuned Whipple Series II has made 490 rwhp with stock pulleys and exhaust excepting an Axle-Back.
It may be a bit of overkill but you can always use a larger pulley to detune.
