I owned an 06 type s and while I was stock I raced an 04 gt manual with at leastexhaust... It was loud as hell so idk what else... We went from a 45 roll which was a great spot to start for me and he barely pulled1.5 cars by 90 but then missed a shift so possibly not the best driver. You should definately take it with your mods from a dig or a low roll. Just watch out b/c those cars have a pretty good top end but i doubt it would be enough to catch up. An 05-06 rsx would do a bit better but 03-04 w/ intake shouldnt be a problem.

Guess people have pretty mixed results with the Type-S's, I raced a new SI and it was not even close. At least 5 or 6 cars by 70, I know the type s has 20 more horsepower but thats sure as hell not going to make up that gap. Guess it depends on the drivers, I took the SI out of the hole pretty hard.

uhh?

20 more horsepower on a car that light would shorten that gap nicely. Aren't the Type-S's rated at most at 205 hp?

Type s cars are ratred at 200-210 hp depending on who you ask, the Si is rated at 197, but it's the same motor with the same specs so the Honda version just makes less power(sounds familiar, f body and vette).

O NO

ITS LIKE A MODERN GM TACTIC....BUT WITH HONDA!! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!

Come to think of it, if I was given the choice of a Type-S or new Si, I'm not so sure which one I'd choose...

The rsx type S has the K20 motor which is pretty badass. People with that motor in civics have been hitting 10 secs on the track. I would think it would be a close race but you would eventually pull on him. Stock for stock.

It would have to be a 50 or better roll. My Si stayed with my 02 until about 100 from a 40 roll, from a 50 I would have been even closer. The Si only has an intake and the GT was bone stock down to the airfilter.

hmm dam, so from roll an rsx takes it? People say 99-04 gt vs s2000 is a drivers race, well if we cant even beat an rsx i dont think a comparison shoudl be made for an s2000. I guess only chance is from dig.

You gotta understang the K series motor is much better than the B series in the S2k. The s2k is already maxed out all motor with very high compression. The K20 is limitless. If the rsx has intake, full exhaust with a piggy back tune the S2k is toast. A modified rsx type 2 is much faster than a modified S2k. Now STIs and EVos are another story. You have no chance unless you are boosted. I drove the new evo10 mr this weekend and let me tell you that car is a beast. paddle shifting is the way to go i guess. Just look at the skyline GTR.

Just FYI the s2000 uses an F20C or F22C1not a b series. The biggest b engine is a 1.8 and the s2000 uses a 2.0L or 2.2L.

dang your right. Looks similar to the B series with the red valve cover and all. But there is a 2.OL B series engine. The B20A from the 96 prelude. Also the B20 from the CRV.
