Default Is this ET resonable?

My best time in the 1/8 mile was 8.71 @ 99mph. Should I be happy with this time?

Sorry I dont have any other info. I was running on cruise night and they dontprint time slips

My current setup:

Kenne Bell @ 9# (approx: 390-405 rwhp per KB)
Pro-line springs
17X10.5 wrapped in Nitto drag radials

...I run that, N/A, with a trap speed of 80-83 mph. How bad was your 60 ft?

I dont have the 60' times. they do not print the timeslips when I go. They may have been pretty bad though cause I could feel the wheels slip as I went into second.

That high trap speeds means there's much more left on the table. What size are your nittos? What PSI do you use them at the track? How do you launch? Auto or stick?

Yea, your car should be capable of much better than that. You need some traction! No grip makes your car look slow in the 1/8;at least in the 1/4, you have more room to gain some of that time back.

Thats a terrible time for that trap speed. You didn't mention your experience level. So that could be an issue. You could probably cut at the very least half a second off that time if not more.

I've been 7.30's with 95mph, your mph great. Work on driving and it will come down.

I dont have much track time. I have a total of about 20 runs 8.71 being my last and best.

I got Nitto NT555R (315/35-17) on the back @ standard PSI

I got a stick. I attempt to launch in 1st, car in gear, foot on clutch. second yellow I pop the clutch and mash the gas.

sounds like you need to take those nitto's down in some psi probably around 14psi to start out with. Heat them up real good with a 2nd gear burnout a good 3 seconds or so worth. When you get staged hold the rpms most likely right around 2-3k rpms and do a clutch slip versus just mashing the gas. Basically the best way I can explain this is hold your rpms at 2-3k and pull the clutch out a little bit till you feel it start to grab(now don't red light by moving just yet) then when you feel it grab thats when you lift up on the clutch and mash the gas at the same time. Hope that helps, now go to the track and try again.
