How is the VW a small fraction of a second slower than the Viper? The Viper (depending on the year) runs anywhere from low 12's to mid 11's, STOCK!!!! ANd even with the driver very poor skills, he still crossed the finish line first. So the driver is not the factor in a race like this. VW is close to the Viper. How could you talk so ridicilous.
The difference between 13.369 and 13.105 is a small fraction of a second. The reason behind this outcome was the driver factor. And if you've bothered to read the timeslip, it was the VW that crossed the line first, not the Viper. Now STFU noob.

First off, I know that the Viper would easly smoke my car, given drivers of the same skill.

Second, I agree the Viper is another whole class, there is no way to compare it to a 50 year old economy car running a pushrod four cylinder.

Third, I posted this because I thought it was funny that he slipped up and let me win. I'm in no way trying to imply that my car would beat a viper in any contest of speed, given equal drivers! this was a "car is only good as it's driver" type story.

And Fourth, I won damit, the 1/8 and 1/4 because I crossed the finish line first!

See you have reaction time and elasped time. You add those too times and you get the time it takes the car to cross the finish line. if you go back to the time slip and add my RT and ET and then add his RT and ET, you'll see my total time is less, so I won[:-]

And that's a win. I once lost $200 BUCKS TO A CIVIC DRIVER the same way! I didn't even balk about handing over the money, even though my ET was lower, the civic crossed the line first. I ran a 13.63 and the civic ran a 13.79, but he tree'd me and got the win light.

Yeah but who was racing the 1/8? Viper still won. And the better driver ONLY is a factor if the cars are equal or close in quickness. In this case, not even in the same league.

I mean an intelligent argument. Don't come in here and start insulting people if you don't have anything valuable to say.
