Ok, so basically I was driving last night Into an industrial part of the city , light traffic , and in my rearview I see the unmistakable led lights of an Audi... As it got closer I realized It was a model I've not seen much at all. The guy Inside pulled up beside me to look at the ride and I noticed it said V10 on the quarter, and it was a 4 door, so I was like OH ****! Thats the S6! We toyed around with eachother but therer was some traffic In front of us so nothing really significant. He rolls down the window and asks me how much HP my car has... (Engine wise My car is stock except for a K&n drop in and a pypes mid muffler exhaust) So I tell him, just over 300hp... He kindof smirks and says OH, I thought those had 500hp, so I said yah, thats a GT500. Slowing to a light (But with traffic in front of us, he tells me about his car, and how it has 430+ Hp, and the engine is sourced from Lamborghini, I start to get a little nervous, but hey, I'd love to see what his car could do, so as soon as traffic opened up, we line up from a roll, I was at 3500rpm in first, and he punches it, so I do too, and I pull on him, and slammed second gear. By the top of second I had him by a car length and a half. Slowing down (Crazy street racing penaltys here) He says that his car is auto and it downshifted, which I believe because My car jumped his very quick, then began to pull slowly. We line up again, this time from second gear for me, around 3000rpm, (I figured I'd give him more of a chance,) He Guns it early, i follow suit later, and while he does have me by a car length due to a quicker start, I start walking him untill our front bumpers are even.


We continued to cruise side by side and talked a bit. He was definately surprised at how fast my car was. I let him know his car was "Quick as hell For a four door" and left with the biggest smile on my face for the next hour!

I was on the face about CAI TUNE , Gears and UDP but **** it! Im doing it next week. I finally realized how great our cars are practically stock! And It just makes me want to catch the mod bug even more...

 

Ya I just got my 07 GT and am shocked at how fast it is stock. The mod bug hit me already, thank god my wife love's the new gt (even though she doesnt drive it :-) I have an AFE CAI, CMDP and UDP's on the way. And I told her they are useless without a tuner and exhaust so now I'm doing the hunt for which exhaust and tuner I want.

Great story btw, nothing like roasting a car with a price tag much higher than our's

 

This should be posted over in street/strip. The GM guys over there will probably leave you alone as long as you don't say you beat any GM branded car. Even if it has 100 fewer horsepower than you. lol!

 

Those things run high 13's its about what I would expect. Nice run

No chance in the snow, but I think all things being equal (Driver mod etc) A mustang with a Cai\ tune, Udp, gears... As well as some decent tires and suspension work (I have Steeda ultralite springs , Tokico struts going in soon) Shouldnt have much of a problem running an S6 down on a track.

 

It would have been interesting if you two raced from a dig.
