Well, a car wasting a lot of gas doesn't mean it can't be a DD; just not a practical one. I know plenty of cars that can run 10s and have a/c, power steering, don't over-heat,\ and are completely street-legal should you want to drive it daily. Matter of fact, I have one. I take it out every now and then to play, but that's about it. If my DD were to take a sh*t for whatever reason, I could drive my fox to work and wherever without a care in the world.

Except for the fact that it isn't insured.

I believe that modaddict made his s197 GT into a 9 sec car that was driven regularly on the streets.. you can do it.. but he couldn't really race on the street because it was just too much power..

I run 11.2 all day at the track and have hit 10.9's twice by some freak of nature! It is my daily driver with full interior, AC that I use all the time, heater, Shaker 500 and I get about 17 mpg in town and have seen as high as 23 mpg on the highway!

just kidding. congrats on having that ability. I've known what you had as a car, but i never knew it was your daily driver. we should all be so lucky to have the set-up/reliability that you have

Thanks Mac.... It was not supposed to be my daily, but it is just too fun to not. My lady likes to drive my tuck rather than her Civic and I prefer to drive the stang. When ever I buy parts, I always try to use quality no matter the cost and I think that is where my reliabilty comes in. Although I am going on my 3rd clutch in 30k miles. To be fair thought the original was swapped out after 200 miles and had LOTs of life, the second is an early version of the Centerforce and the disk still has meat, but it is slipping at high load. Hey, I got almost 30k miles out of it!

The new one going in this weekend is a Spec 3+ with a Spec Steel Flywheel.
