Default Raced a GT/CS...

Sooo... around 4:30ish im heading down to college, and i spot a blue gt/cs stang. It was slow traffic when i spotted him and i got a wide opening infront of me, so i downshifter in 2nd and zoomed by him, just to see if he would even bother. He didn't follow. So i slow down and just cruise and we merge onto the highway and i see him behind me like 7-8 car lengths. I move over a lane and see if he'll run. He was about 3-4 car lengths behind me when i look into my side mirror, and i didn't think he would run. So i continue to look ahead, 2 seconds later i see his front end lift up a little and he's going WOT right next to me, so i quickly downshift into 3rd and were neck and neck till the top of 4th. We had to shut down due to traffic. I don't know his mods, but he did have aftermarket mufflers.

Remember, he floored it 3 car lenghts before i did.

Heh sounds like fun. I was out looking @ a Z06 the other day, the "special edition" Z06 with the 427 badges (same as the others as far as I could tell, different rims, and a stripe down the middle of the hood, 427 on everything inside tho) and had to show proof of income to test drive it 85k out the door though, no dealer markup but no movement from the price either. Fun car, Wife really loved the car so maybe a Z06 is in my future.

nice run....

Z06 is a bad *** ride.. got to drive one a few weeks ago...... they can be had for under $70K - Check Kerbeck Chevy in NJ.

I doubt they let them out for test drives....

I took the one for a test ride, and by test ride I mean the salesman drove it with me in it. Still had to show proof of income, and all that lame crap (understandable). This one was some limited edition one, so the price was up there (thought it was a dealer 'special edition' but I guess they did make 400 some odd versions of this for 08). They had a couple on the lot for low 70s, not too bad.

When they ask for source of income, do you have to sign some **** saying you agree to buying the car or anything? My dad can do that, but he won't sign anything lol.

Are you or your dad going to be financing through them? Otherwise you don't have to show them any source of income.

I didn't have to sign anything, just had to show them my pay stub, give them a copy of my license etc... Probably to weed out the people who only want to ride / drive them and not buy. Dunno. They did let me test drive the regular C6s without any issue after the ride in the Z06, so meh.

No, no financing. I would be happy driving a regular c6, but a z06 would make my day!
