Default Burned Rice part II

on my way home from visiting a friend home on leave from kuwait. as i'm going through the tunnel, a pass an olderlowered primered riced out integra. he f**ks with me a little. so i drop it in 4th and let him hear the headers and flowmasters.

f**king with me on and off for about 10 miles, he pulls up next to me on the exact same mile marker stretch as my origional burned ricer story took place. he hits 3rd, and i knew it was on, so i dropped from 5th to 3rd. as soon as he heard me shift, he punched it. i hit it, and immediately pulled away and put about 2 car lengths on him. as i finish up 3rd i see him drop back even farther, i figured at this point he'd shut down. so i hit 4th at @ 5500and put oh i'd say about a good 150 feet between us, and shut down. i only hit about 85, and this is my first kill in 4 months so i made an exception to my street racing hiatus. hopefully i can hit the track before nov 15th (when they shut down) and get one last legit run in before spring.

actually he kept his distance until i slowed down and hit the cruise control at 65, then passed me like any normal car would. in between the tunnel and the actual race, i pulled up beside him and paced him for about a minute. he didn't bite, so i hit 4th and left his ***. he stayed away for a few miles until he was ready to race. very well mannered and no stupid ricer antics.

Some people can handle an *** kicking.

I know when I get violated by LS1's all day I take it like a man because the 2 car lengths I finish behind him, that's still about 2 car lengths ahead of the other car I'll meet up against in my area.

I tend to believe a lot of car restorers in my area tend to de-tune their old 68 & 69 Camaro's and whatnot, as twice this year I really hurt 2 nice restored 69 Z's and I was running high 13's without traction..

they're heavy cars, and a crate 350 from GM won't do much for one. you got to have a little something extra on top of that 230-250 or so hp from a small crate engine. even a ZZ4 engine in a car that big won't perform all that great.

I smoked some punk in an 89-ish Caravan last night. Not bad for an 86 dodge 4x4 with 5" lift and 35" tires through a 3 speed auto. Last time I rolled across the scales I think it tipped somewhere close to 5600lbs. Stupid guy thought he was going to cut me off at the lane merge.

First Gen F bodys arent that heavy, at most about 3400 unless they have air and a huge stereo

True dat, it takes a bit of power to run, most guys go for looks instead of power. They want a GTO, Chevelle, Z28 TransAm, Boss Mustang, Cuda, Challenger or whatever for the way they look, and the mystique about them. They dont care if they run an 11 or not, and they will bitch if the thing gets bad mileage or wont start fouls plugs or doesnt run like that injected SUV his wife drives.

It still amazes me with GM guys, they will pull a 455 400 or something that makes power everywhere and drop in a 350 Chevy. I have even seen it in Fords. A Fox stang with a 350 in it. Usually a crate 350 that doesnt have any power. They always tell me to run a 350 and get rid of my Pontiacs or Clevelands, just so I can have a stupid Chevy, yeah I am none to fond of the SBC
