alright first off i have a 2.3 thats all stock it has a five speed and an 8.8 rear end with 411 gears. ok this guy was staring his *** off in a new eclipse yesterday. (i guess the draglites make it look fast)gets up next to me at about 65 and revs his engine, i thought he would stomp me. i hit third to the redline and fourth then i realized he was way behind me. then i slowed down and he blew past me i was so amazed he stopped at a truck stop and asked me what the stang had in it i just laughed at him! i thought i would share this it made me laugh. i can't wait to swap in the 351.

for him to be "way behind" you in your 17 second car, my guess it was a 4 cylinder that punched it in 5th.

not trying to be rude with the 17 second car comment, if the stock 2.3 foxes are quicker than that, someone please correct me

it wasn't a gt and i think it was an auto and i'm sure it was a 4 cyl. for what it's worth my car isn't that slow compared to other stock 4 bangers the 411's help alot and yeah i don't think the dude knew how to drive

 

I was just about to toss my .02 in. I used to own an 06 Eclipse GT. They move. But, if you beat the new eclipse, you killed the GS. Good kill. For little 4's, they move out pretty well.
