Default Raced two beamers...

I was just cruising tonight and looking for races and what not. I drive down a highway im not too familiar with a decide to turn back around, while taking the exit i see blue HID lights tailling me pretty close. So, i continue to take the U'y around to turn around, it turns out to be a 90's 3 series bmw coupe, i get onto the highway he follows. We got onto the wideopen highway, around 60mph i drop into 3rd, and honk it off. I pull away around 3-4 cars easy. Cool guy, gave each others a thumbs up!

30 mins later...

Pulling out of wendys with a dark blue m3 infront of me. 19-21 year old dude. He gets on it as soon as he pulls out, as do i. I catch him real quick. We link up and i drop into 2nd around 40mph and i was about to honk and he just takes off, he doesnt even get half a car on me and within a few seconds i put 2 cars on him easy. By 3rd gear 3-4 cars, and i let off. He took the turn of shame.

Anyway, i was really disappointed with the m3s performance. I thought those things were supposed to be relatively quick?!

The m3s are decent, im suprised u caught up with him that easy. i raced one with "just a cai" but i heard headers or something, couldnt have been stock it sounded mean. Anyways,we ran about dead even, i barely got a half a car on him by 110 starting from a dig, maybe if he was bone stock it would be different. But anyways. Good Kill!

an E92 wouldve destroyed you, they make around 415HP and run mid 12s.the E36 a stock GT would beat. the E46, well a stock GT should beat a vert, not a coupe. the E46 make 330 HP and the coupesrun low 13s. but with your mods you should take verts easily and a drivers race for a coupe. damn auto M3s and their paddleshifting doing 0-60 in .3 better than the manuals... crazy! the verts are WAY slower , not sure what you ran against. but im stock and beat a E46 vert, was very surprised and did smoe researxch when i got home and found out they are quite a bit slower than the coupe M3.

and no matter what M3 you run they will kill us up over 130, the E46s can get up to 175+ and the E92s over 200 (delimited of course)

and FYI i dunno what the E36/46 difference is between coupes and verts are, too drunk to look it up. but E92 - up to a .7 difference in 0-60. im sure its similar with the older cars as well

Good run. I just got an E46 M3 and while its pretty quick for what it is, its no match for a bolt-on geared GT. I did beat an Evo X on a local twisty road though[sm=gears.gif]

good kill man!

do you still have the lightweights on or did you swap back to the gigantic industrial baby killers? [8D]

don't let the BMW guys hear you call them "beamers" though... they will argue that fact like you shot their mother

"BEAMERS ARE MOTORCYCLES!!! NYAAHHH!!! THE CORRECT TERM IS BIMMER!"

either way 75% of them touch little kids so whatever

Ok that post about how the verts are slower must be true, i had header back exhuast, cai/tune and 4.10s when i raced the m3 coupe, and i ran about 1/2 to a car ahead of him, so yeah this makes more sense to me now!
