WTF? My TB/Plenum slowed me down!?
^+1 I had a set a 16 inch nitto drag radials, couldnt get better than a 1.9 to save my life... ran the car 50 times or so, 1.9-2.09 all day...

If i took the tempo to the track, im pretty sure it would last longer than your car would.

I also noticed something last night tho, my friend and i were driving around being stupid and i was driving behind him, i saw him take off, so i floored it, and the car didnt downshift...
We were going about 35 or 40 mph. I wanna say that the TPS is off a bit when i installed the new tb and plenum, but the car is idling fine, about 100 rpm below where it used to tho. Think that might have any effect on whats going on now? Sometimes it will downshift, others it wont.
If it makes you feel any better Gstam, i run 8.6 @ 78 N/A with slicks so your car definitely has a lot more ET in it with the MPH you have, if you get some decent tires.
the first couple hundred feet are pretty much the most important part of a dig race.

Yeah but the thing is, i get traction just fine, with 2.0-2.2 60ft's tho. My problem isnt traction, its launching so that i get the most power off the line possible. And since i got the new TB/Plenum, its not going so well. I need to either tweak the tune, or see if my TPS is tweaked cause of my WOT from a roll issue perhaps.
Well the max i can stall at is 2500, but its a 2800 stall. Meaning that with more power and torque, id be able to stall higher. I think the guy at the shop said that 30 more horses or footlbs would let me stall about 100 rpms higher or something. Have to make the motor more powerful so that theres more slip in the converter, hence a higher stall.
