Default first time

First time at the track tonight over in irwindale CA. They only have 1/8 mile so i got as much out of my gt as i could. I raced 7 times and took 4 races. Beat two cobalt ss's one thats completely moded out. Then took out a honda civic. My best time was 9.3 which isnt horrible for stock. I guess its time to start upgrading.

I think with a cold intake and a tune i can get it under 8. My GT is just so damn heavy.

Actually, there is a lot of room for improvement on that time man. But you certainly shouldn't feel bad about those times at all. It was your first time out, and from this point on nothing should happen except improvement.

And they're not THAT heavy. I'd guess your car weighs close to what every other stock 05+ GT weighs.

That is close to a 14.5 in the 1/4. Couple more times out and you should be able to break into the 8s

Next time you go to the track. Put it on the skale if they have one. I'd bet a weeks pay your car doesn't weigh that much. That is of course you have it loaded down with sh&t.
