Me and a buddy are going to the strip this weekend where they are having grudge brackets on Sat. We were going to race each to see who could take the best 2 out of 3. Who do you think will fair better?

ME- 02GT 5sp, full length densecharger, flowmaster catback, FRPP 3.73s, MGW shifter, FRPP "c" springs


Buddy- 04GT auto, mac cai(old style), 70mm tb, FRPP 3.73s, Eibach springs, welded in flowmasters, diablo predator, underdrive pulleys.

Not sure who is going to win, but I will be looking forward to see the post on the race and who did win. I am thinking that it is going to be a drivers race. Did your buddy with the 04' use the predator to adjust his shift points/pressure on his trans? If not he should so his car shift faster/harder.

Drivers race.

The cars are within .4 second of each other, IMHO makes it a driver's race when you factor in RT times, 60 ft times etc, that can vary greatly with driver skill.

Given the same driver, I would give the nod to your buddy because of the underdrive pullies.

BTW, the tires could have more effect on ET then any one mod you listed.

EDIT:, I give the nod back to you because of the 5 spd vs Auto. just noticed that.

my money is on the 04 because of the pulleys and diablo
i would go 02 for the 5sp but i think he has +-10hp more than you

Yeah but the 04 has better heads than the 02 so I would go with the 04.

If you are going to race as to who reaches teh finnasssssh line first, the Auto has a much better chance of winning. It ain't easy launching a lowered 5 speed with gears.

In 03 they put on a better flowing head. So it has better heads. Learn how to launch your car and it is not that hard.
