The new STI is one of the ugliest cars ever made.

 

Great car, but the price on both STIs and Evos have gotten out of hand. There are better deals to be had.

It depends on what you want. The Evo IX is all out performance. No luxury. The Evo X is a step towards a different type crowd, but still nice performance. It's true, that if you are going to be modding it, the Evo IX takes great to cheap mods. Evo IX is about 300 lbs lighter than the X. (Nice for road coarses if you ever want to track).
Evo IXs are going anywhere from $22,000 to $28.000, but be careful that it hasn't been abused too bad.

God yes. I stopped and checked out the Evo 10 when it first came out and they were asking 45 grand for it. Thats Vette money.

 

If you like plastic pedals that snap off....
Save yourself the hassle and buy a IX.
Much better built...

I'd rather roll a IX than a X.
But more than that, I'd rather have a faster mustang.
