Have been thinking about MAYBE getting a new car sometime soon. What do you guys think about the Evo 10? This wont be a dd...just a toy/fun car.

I'd say the Evo 10 would be a very pratical sports car if you live somewhere where its not always sunny and 75 out.

I too have heard from alot of EVO guys that the X is inferior to previous years.

I drove the EVO 10 MR on twisties and that thing rocks. The paddle shift is pretty impressive. There is no way you can spin out in that car. Pretty nice car i might have to say although i hate evos. Car pulls pretty hard on the freeway also and I had 3 people in th car including me. There is no turbo lag at all; felt like a v8 actually. Real nice car. I was smiling for a while after I took that thing all out.

Definitely try to pick up a low mileage EVO IX not an EVO X. If you plan on modifying the car the EVO IX is way easier to do it, and it's going to be quicker in stock form. My buddy has an EVO IX MR with 272 cams, straightpipe catless exhaust, MBC, intake and a custom tune from Shiv @ Vishnu. He ran 12.2s on a slipping clutch!
