'03 Mach 1 vs. LS1 Trans Am
So up at the local cruiser hangout last weekend, this guy who always tries to get me into races came up to me and asked if I wanted to race his buddy in an automatic LS1 Trans Am with exhaust. I knew that it would be a good race so I agreed to a 10 mph roll, but as the night went on I was getting pretty tired so I told them I was going to take a rain check, but then some random douche starting talking ****, so I went out to race, determined to make him eat his words. We got to the spot where we were going to do it and I honked 3 times. We both got on it and it was about dead even in first gear, but as soon as I caught traction in second, I began pulling hard. By about 100 mph I let out and he was 2 or 3 cars behind me. As we were slowing down, probably still around 70 mph, we passed a Crown Victoria. Needless to say my ******* puckered. We turned off immediately and managed to avoid that disaster, returning to the same parking lot we left from shortly beforehand. That random douche that was talking smack had his foot in his mouth when he found out what happened. HAHA. I thought it was a pretty good story so I decided to post it on here. Tell me what you guys think.

if it was a 2.73 auto with just exhaust this is more than believable even with minor bolt ons...make him play catch up ya know

My 2.73-geared auto with just a lid and exhaust is approaching 110 mph in the 1/4, which a Mach 1 will hit only with some work done. Even you will concede as much. And this guy apparently brutalized this LS1 from a rolling start. I would just like to see some mods and/or numbers to make sense of this, that's all.

yes i will concede that, but you've got exhaust as well (full) and a DR, i didn't have any problem putting an auto ws6 away at the 1/8 on saturday though...like i said any mach fan boy
