Default Raced a Cobra and did good.

Yesterday I was @ my GF house and a good buddy of mine stops by. He's got a 97 mystique cobra. Not sure about the mods but he's got exhaust @ least. Well he wanted to race me. I took his invitation. Wich was provably stupid. I don't like racing in the street. But hell we did it. We went from a roll on 2 gear @ abou 20-30 mph. Man I was so proud of my lil GT. I kept up with him thru the hole 2 gear. I hit 3rd and hes starting to loose just a little until my RPMs go over 3000. Then i get half a car on him. hit 4th gear and keep pulling. Don't know how fast we were going @ this time wich i think is also stupid. But i took him. He was starting to catch up to me though since i ran out of RPMs on 4th and i didn't wanted to throw 5th. He's a really good friend of mine and he can drive. Not the gratest but average. We went again this time from the hole. He owened me. I didn't reacted good and on top of that missed 3rd gear. I know I suck. But hey. I've owned my stang for only 2 months. Then we went from a roll againg and took him out one more time. I was really happy with the out come. I just won't do it again on the street. We r planning on going to the strip next month. The cops almost get me too. Got really lucky. There was no traffic either so I don't feel so bad about what we did. Won't do it againg though.

Believable, especially from a roll. Those are great motors that respond way better to mods than a 2v, but the tq curve is unimpressive on the older 4v's and a mildly modded 99+ 2v has enough snot to show'em tail lights.

Shorties will work, everyone here will argue it's a waste of money, but if you already have the mid-pipe....

He's got a 97 mystique cobra.

BS. Mystics were only made in '96/'04.
