we've got a 1/4 section on a pretty much empty road that everyone goes down...
i've never raced before, and spanked an 5.7 trans am with an auto trans, cold air, and 3.73 gears on my first try, he got me on the line, but i got 2 lengths on him in the end...
he's been driving forever but i've never raced and still got him...

mine's a '96 cobra with 78,000 miles on the car, 35,000 on a crate dohc 4.6 out of a '98 that was totalled...
the old motor was force fed by a vortec centrifugal and detonated... so far i've got a 75mm throttle body, cold air, chipped ecu, and 4.11 gears, i'm used to a sloppy b16 crx trans and clutch so this t-45 is killin my leg... and i got $10 worth of gas...

 

Year of the Trans Am? That factors alot.

 

Must've been an LT1 if he got you off the line and you took him topend. But, the 2 lengths in a 1/4 mile, even after he got you off the line sounds a little iffy. I guess it all depends on how big the margin was off the line though.

 

it may have been an lt1 im not sure..
but i cant take off well at all, i can bang thru the gears but i cant take off...
and to tell you the truth its a little more than a 1/4 where they marked it

 

How fast were you going when you shut it down?
