Jwarner, I dont have much expertise on the situation, the only thing IIII can suggest is that the srt motors are designed for f/i. The were built for psi being pushed through them whereas f/i is foreign to the v8, therefore somewhat "limiting" the capabilities. I am by no means swinging on the srt's nuts by any means, or bluebeasts for that matter, its just kinda almost common sense.

Anyone else, not that there's been an attack against BB, but he, in a lot of folks opinions, is one of the most knowledgable and respected cats around here. Whatever he says should be taken to heart, although a smartasss, he's not a bs'er.

Also, whoever it was that tried to "buuurn" 72mach........he's kinda being a smartass in his sig, going for exactly what yall gave him, uneducated molarky.
Thanks 97. I haven't taken the responses as an attack. Just an interesting difference of opinion.

why even get into a money debate about 5 grand.. you can make some monster builds with a total investment of $10,000... there is more to a car than going fast though.. or there isn't more to it and you have a your fast 10,000 car and then you get your comfortable 30,000 car

Yeah, like I said, no one came off that way, so I made myself look kinda dumb there. Just some off-kilter info flowing from some of the fanboys, and a srt guy comes on here swinging his unit, I just anticipated annimosity. But like I said, at least a couple guys know what they're talking about (more than me anyways)

If I wanted comfort I would have bought a town car. Wonder how much it would take to make one of them fast?

Someone picked up on the obvious BS in my signature.

I've got 4.10's, o/r H, and a catback.

It's not really a point up for debate anymore. Anyone who is not blind/egotistical/ignorant knows that an SRT-4 is a good race for a stock New Edge GT.

Just because you've gone out and raced a moron that runs his high 13 second car to a high 14 does not mean that's what the car is going to run. I'm also not expecting EVERY SRT-4 to go out and run 13's each and every time, but to think they're not capable is stupid.

wow, like i said the only thing i was really originally trying to say is that the best 8 cyl design beats the best 4 cyl. design the quickest 1/4 mile cars are all 8 cyl. DON'T STOP READING....I also repeatedly said that if i raced a SRT4 stock it would be close if I was a better driver I'd win(barely...assuming they were good as well).
BB I know your short block is made to handle more power, and mine isn't really although is can get to handle 450, 500 max rwhp...that's not important though to my point which is the original sentence of this post.
I know there are thousands of mustangs that get torched by 4 cyl and sixers its all what one has done to their car.
FINALLY- I never am attacking anyone I'm most always a calm person that does enjoy a good debate.

Bluebeast i would just like to know if you have any knowledge of an srt4 running low 13s bone stock. Also do you agree that stock for stock it would be a driver race.
