Me and a friend were out playing with my saleens the other night and my S281 is faster than my SA-15. now the 281 has NO performance mods. well ok it has the saleen performance filter- Hell Ya! and the sa-15 has a s/c udp, headers, x- pipe, cat back.

so i think the damn s/c is broken

Try reseting the xbox, maybe something got messed up on startup with the car performance database.

Don't you realize that there are enough people to hate in the world already without your working so hard to give us another?

I'm just screwing with you dude, but seriously, a broken S/C? You should know it if the blower is bad. Either it doesn't spin, or the seals are leaking which would mean she is a smokin. (the car)

I would not jump to conclusions so quickly, it could easily be the driver causing one to be faster than another.

BTW, how about some pics of the cars side by side. Does one have a ton more miles?

David, your SA 15 has that Eaton M90 roots blower like we have talked about. What a lot of people did with those blowers was pulley them up, and spin them to their max. When people do this for extended periods of time with the M90, the already marginal roots tolerances become even further diminished, and loss of performance in boost psi is compromised. One tell tale sign that this is the case in your car is if the blower is 'whiney' in its sound at idle. Also, look at the pulley on the blower. Saleen puts a small wax seal over the pulley bolt from the factory. If it isn't there, chances are that the blower was re-pullied at some point. That's why you see all those 03-04 Cobra roots blowers on E bay. Once they have been over-spun for extended periods of time, their tolerances start to fade, and they become nearly worthless. I bet that guy in NM that owned the car before you over spun the blower.

Grab one for dirt cheap and have it rebuilt. You can get a shop called "Apten Performance" to do a p&P on them as well, will pick up some nice power.
