I looked for an 08 STI stock dyno..Found this (though didn't care to search and search)
Rated 305bhp and puts down ....

This is what I call under-rated for insurance.. Stock SS/SC rated at 205BHP and puts down..

i believe you. a good friend of mine at work bought an 05 STI and it had a cold air intake and full exhaust with catless downpipe and lightweight pulley's. we raced FROM A DIG, and i spun all of first and half of second as he pulled out in front by about 1 car length, but once my crappy stock tires started to grip i walked out to about 1&1/2 cars. and the kicker is he didnt have any excuses!!!

did he tune for his mods? if he didnt they actually hurt the car. and exhuast and intake on those are sub 10hp combined without a tune

Hey guys, sorry it took so long to reply...
I need to update my sig, as a new motor is in the works.
For now, I've got headers/full exhaust, and a fresh carb on it. It's tuned pretty well, and I'm a good driver.
I'm pretty sure I had driver mod on me. He didn't lose too bad, but he shoulda whomped me.

Wow very surprising. I have a similar car but with a couple more mods and have put down 211 rwhp and 270 rwtq. With that said I have raced multiple STI's and usually lose by about a car or two through three gears....thats from a roll. I can take WRX from a roll pretty easily. But ya idk about actually beating an STI. Though that AWD drive does suck HP... it makes power like a 275hp car not a 305hp car.

I agree... I apparently beat a lot of cars I shouldn't though
I know it was an STi though, still had dealer tags on it... fresh off the lot...

Yep. I know the difference... Unless this guy had driven it home, already had the rebadging and fenders ready and painted before he bought the car, it was definitely an STi. lol
