Default v6 vs. v6

okay...so we're finished working out and playing basketball when we're leaving the base and were driving side by side...my friend has an 01 v6 auto with true dual flowmaster, cold air intake, and mac headers...all i got is CAI, 5spd, and gt take off with flowmaster mufflers....so hes like...lets go....we both got two people in our cars and were gonna go and i launch at 2000 and stick on the road with barely no spin....and i beat him with about 3-4 car lengths....they say i have a chip or something....if we have pretty much the same mods and i beat him that bad....is it really that i have a chip or ECU modified...i dunno...i didnt know my car would be that fast...cuz my friends are like, "ive driven in a v6 manual b4 and it didnt haul as bad as you did and sound like a v8."...lol....the v8 part makes me laugh...i think my car sounds crappy...but if yall could tell me whats going on with my car...that would be great...or t-lok or gears?....later

do a burnout- if one line is left- you dont have a t-lok

your friend could be a bad driver?

people could have been different weights?

but he had headers, and you dont? he shoulda smoked you?

but it always comes down to the driver

The differences in the two transmissions also have a big part to play, plus the drivers skill/ability needs to be considered too.

Now put those mods on your car and he'll never see you again!

He's got shortie headers im guessing? Shortes = useless, espcially on a V6.

He is an auto, your a stick. Thats the difference. He wieghs more, and puts down less RWHP because the auto is eating up HP.

Automatic looses more HP to the rear wheels. Plus w/ your stick shift you dont have to wait for the computer to downshift the car and you are able to dump your clutch at 2000 while in 2nd gear. And driving skill plays a big roll too.
