It was indeed. That was my first run that I tried to power shift. Couldn't get it into 4th.

Yes I did, the first two times I tried to power shift every gear I didn't get the shift into 4th before i was letting the clutch out so I coasted to trap. I dont think I did any damage on those passes. The one good pass that I got I didn't power shift 4th and still beat my best time ever. Then the next pass I think I did the same as the two bad run but I really slammed the shifter, got it in gear, but it was more like a clutchless power shift which = bad news.

Gonna keep doing it after this little fiasco?

I know people like doing it but man just seems like it could be murder on your transmission. I guess if you have the coin to keep fixing broken parts every other time you go to the track...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, are you kidding me? Of course I am. I'm in love. As long as I have the money and my car isn't in the shop nothing is going to keep me away from going to the track every weekend. We'll that and snow. There isn't anything like going 120+ mph legally.

Edit: Oh, you were talking about power shifting. We'll see what kind of times I'm running when I get 4.10s in it. It did take a 10th off my ET on the pass that I actually got into 4th gear. The rumor is that 4.10s lessing the stress on the drive train though.

its both as I recall. however the S197s are able to make a better power (generally) with a blower so they seem to have the input shaft go more often
