there are 3 different engine choices for the impreza

2.5i/rs - 2.5 na horizontal 4 cylinder, 170hp
impreza wrx- 2.0 horiz turbo 4 in 02-05, and 2.5l horiz turbo from 06+
impreza wrx sti- 2.5l turbo horiz 4 from 04+

differences are only interior, engine, tranny and minor exterior changes. mostly the same cars.

For the record: the LT1's were rated fairly accurately at 275HP/330TQ in the LT1, I believe 285 for the last generation of them (but it wasn't anything incredibly significant.) If they were at 300 they'd be sitting much closer to the mark where the LS1's are at, and we all know that an LT1 Camaro vs an LS1 Camaro stock versus stock will get rolled over.

Just thought I'd throw that out there.

LT1 is minimum 300hp. Look it up. There was no 275HP version.

I've looked this up before, but as far as I'm concerned I'm still seeing the same numbers I've always seen. Send me a link if you know of one so I can take a look at it. The current claims I've heard of are 275-285 to the flywheel, so even less than that if you're talking about to the ground. Send me a link if you run into one, I'm still browsing around to see if GM undercut the LT1's HP #'s like they did with the LS1, but I haven't found anything except those two articles, which both say the same thing that I've found in the past.

Ive never seen a stock LT1 make over 235 to the wheels, as LS engines make 270ish stock...

I lined up with an LT1 auto with my car when it was pretty much bolt ons and beat him by a fender
