Default How to get 13.5 in 1/4?

Hey guys, just got my first Ford. So far I love it. It is an o2 gt all stock. What can I do to get it to beat an 04 vette vert. It is the plane engine vette. I see gears are recommended alot here. What ratio? And , what is a tune? thanks confused:

i've seen stock 02-04s run as low as 13.7s with good drivers... on average i'd say 13.9s.

Beating an LS1 will take some cash, prolly a supercharger/bolt on's at the very least. I totally agree with what SVT says about 4:10's driver/ tires getting you mid 13's easily.

oh and for tires i've heard alot of good things about Micky Thompson ET street radials..

or Nitto 555r drag radials, i had some nitto NT555Xtreme (street radials) for a while (275s) and they were a pretty sticky street tire.

Gears, tires, and subframe connectors are all you need to have your car capable of 13.5 assuming your car is in good running order. Then it's all in the practice

I saw on some web site where an 04 vette only runs mid 13's. So, maybe a gear will make it real close?

Oh, almost forgot, will the traction control button need to be on or off?
