I was coming down the highway this morning when I entered this dreaded stop sign area that was just put in. the highway splits into 4 lane traffic and they put stop signs in where the exit ramps come down from the interstate, then a few hundred yards later it merges back into a 2 lane highway again.

I was stopped and getting ready to go when this Ford Edge came flying up next to me and did an 'almost' stop. *touch and go if you will*. I had been stopped the normal time frame (enough to look for cars running stop signs and such) and was starting to go at the same time. This sort of thing gets me going because they usually pass you up and then sit at the speed limit or below it. Screw that. I saw the front of the thing lift and I soft foot it off the line in 1st (should have done 2nd.).. I spin a little but manage to keep it steady. Then short shift to 2nd and give it a little more... at this point we are neck and neck and the guy next to me is giving it all he has. I can tell I am getting to the 3K mark in 2nd (starts to pull nice and easy) and pull ahead by a car length before I need to hit 3rd.. Stupid jerk tries to come up and ride my bumper as I am coming up on traffic. I just looked for a gap and passed the two cars in front of me leaving him stuck with no way of getting around them. Haha..what a tool.

Sorry I hate winter... it's cold and sucks... Ill be damned if these low power suvs and minvans start picking on me.

Anyone race anything worthwhile? How is it going for you guys who get nice weather year round?

 

well they closed our track this weekend b/c apparently 28* at night and 50* daytime is to cold, but MFers in NJ are still racing WTF!?!
People are starting the slow *** driving here as well 10-15 under, **** that ****....i'll go through the roof for that espicially when the speed limit is 45 and 2 lane road

 

I would kill for those conditions... it hasn't been 50 here in like a month. I think our high yesterday was 22. HAHA.

 

yer kidding......Ford Edge? You risked your car, life, license, everybody around you to race an Edge? You have a low 13 sec car and your racing an Edge..... i'd be embarrassed.

Risked? bwahaha...Risked what? I didn't race an Edge.. I put it where it was supposed to be... behind me. (I am not even sure I managed to get the pedal down to the floor during the entire event.)

 

The chances of me getting pulled over... NIL.

I pulled a cop over a few days ago... Granted it was for a legit purpose but still kind of funny. (Lit him up with the lights and everything)...
