yea i figured the first time would be a little crappy...i planned on goin a few times this summer hopefully...the tracks 30mins away and i think the previous owner may have dropped heads and cams on it. whats the biggest m/t radial you can drop on a 17-10'5 rim?

Those tires can hook strong enough to snap your axle, so those would do the trick for that size wheel...although you might want to consider different size wheels (just for track use) with tires like those.

ive known too many guys with those mods who are stuck in the mid 12s. just not enough power to get there. the few guys around here in 2v's running deep 11 times have significant weight reduction and tons of suspension mods

i'll take that bet. if isn't running 12.1-12.3 consistently there is a problem with the driver. there are high 11's as his car sits, but he will have to drive the **** of of the car. if he changed his LCA and to a 70/30 shock strut thingy with a 9" slick with a 3200-3500 stall he'd pop 11's ALL DAY LONG
. But I didn't bet that it wouldn't go a 12.2 -.3 but I did say he he wouldn't go a 12.2 or better (ie 12.199 or faster) as his car sits. I'll paypal you $1 if I'm wrong, you can do the same
