G8 GT and an LS1 Z28
#21
Two maybe, I'm thinking one car. They both put up similar 1/4 times in the magazines with the trap going to the Ellis Juan by a mph or two. Obviously we know that an LS1 car at a prepped track can see as low as 12.9's but thats a 6M. I'm not sure what people have run with a stock G8 but I wouldn't be suprised to see low 13's.
Hmm...no
I will use Edmunds for curbs....
345hp - 3439 lbs = 9.96lb per HP
361hp - 3995 lbs = 11.06lb per HP
Stock G8s are turning 13.3 at BEST bone stock (2.03 60ft, 13.39 @ 104.7 - Atco). A manual F-Body goes 12.8 at best and autos 12.9 (kenny pulled it off just a couple years ago actually).
[edit: Since I know this is coming... http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...automatic.html ]
Most guys are seeing 13.6 ~ 13.8 @ 102~103mph. I think they are actually a dead nuts comparison to the S197 even mod for mod at the moment they seem to be running within hundreths of one another.
The new 415hp GXP model is running with F-Bodys now (and running extremely well I might add..)

Thanks S8er, that's what I was thinking and when I heard G8 GT's are solid 13.5sec cars I was surprised because I know Auto LS1's are solid 13.2-4 cars. 13.6-8 I guess is the actual number. I thought the power to weight and 1/4 numbers didn't add up right. I guess I should have done more research on them myself.
