Wasn't really trying to pursuede you to buy one, just showing what an internally stock one is capable of. Not bad if you ask me.

S2ks are neat cars but just like any other tuner car it's going to cost an assload to get it to be really fast. Plus, have you seen the sticker price on those ****in things?!? I was at the Honda dealership getting some new tires put on my TL-S and I was checking one out they had in the showroom... almost $40,000!!! Do you know how many truly amazing sports cars you can buy for that much? You would HAVE to search for a lightly used example of this car if you were shopping for one for a project and had a legitimate budget.

Damn, $40k will buy you a gently used E46 M3!

Edit: I also heard that the S2k is going to be eliminated from Honda's lineup soon and that Acura may take it over in the form of a new name.

Not to take anything away from you, so let me say nice kill my friend. But watch out with those cars man, they are very capable of being HELLA fast.

exactly. you start with an already overpriced car, throw several grand at it for what? 380rwhp? gotta throw a small fortune at it to break that barrier via internals.

I made 417rwhp with under 2k invested in mods.

I understand as well as anyone that anything can be fast, but as for the comments of "good thing he wasnt boosted hyuck hyuck!" who cares? for what it takes to boost one of those things to halfway fast you are very unlikely to run into one. more likely is the bolton/weight reduction style car. we have a couple of those around my town, and the kid thinks his potential 13.9 seconds is impressive. Its like every time you guys get a kill someone saying "good thing it wasnt a complete powertrain swap with 100k invested! then he would have killed you!!!"
thats when everyone simultaneously rolls their eyes and does the universal sign for jerkoff

They are done as of now. It was announced that 2009 is the last model year. They prices have dropped with the economy. Great for a track car if you want to do boost. They won't hold up in straights with anything fast though.

i have to agree with spec, anything can be fast when dropping the cash. So a S2k are fast boosted so are many S197GT, cammed LS1,LS2,LS3, etc. Im firmly believe you race what you brought, You win awesome but if you lose its okay too. At the end its all fun.

Honda has actually announced an "Ultimate" edition of the S2k to end the car.

It is an all white car with red leather interior. It has special numbered badges to signify how special it is. It looks nice with a white hard top.

For some reason the story I read said that it would still have the 2.0L engine that revs to 9000 in the Ultimate but they haven't used that engine since 2003.

I'll still never buy one though. Maybe if I had gobs of money laying around I would. My friends CR is pretty nice but damn 45k is too much for how little you get.
