Default 05GT vs. S2000

So I was driving down an interstate yesterday and I saw a black S2000 speeding up quickly. I was in the middle lane and he was in the far left. Right when he passed I sped up and got right behind him. All I could tell that he had was an annoying exhaust like most ricers lol. Those mufflers were huge! It looked like they werent even supposed to be on that car. But anyway...he took off with me right behind and I saw black smoke exit his pipes (guessing no cats?) and it was from about 65 mph. I didn't even downshift and just put my foot down in fourth. I was kind of disappointed because he didn't even pull on me one bit. It was basically dead even.

So I decided after he took off he probably felt pretty good since he stayed the same distance ahead of me. Later down the road he was in the far right and I was in the middle again. I was screwin with him and trying to get him to go. He went one time, and right when he hit it I put it into third and it didnt even take 2 secs to catch and pass. He ended up getting off and exit before I did, and of course flew by when getting off the interstate.

I know these cars are great on a circuit, or road course, but I really have to say I'm not impressed with the power they have at all.

Well be thankful he didnt have any sort of power adder. I have four friends down here in Miami that have s2k'S and all four of them toast me. One of the guys actually did a 2JZ swap and his ricer *** car is running 9's. They are extremely light cars and don't need much done to them to turn into a pocket rocket. Not to take anything away from you, so let me say nice kill my friend. But watch out with those cars man, they are very capable of being HELLA fast.

Ya stock they are not much of a match to your car...But i agree, once they start to have some serious mods they are a force to be reckoned with. I beat down a s2K CR from a roll twice, and the only reason why I lost from a dig was because of ****ty tires, and not enough practice with my launches. I've fixed the launch part though

I'm pretty sure that is the same one that was at Orlando Speedworld a couple of months ago. That thing was insane fast!

Nothing special stock except for handling. They need a power adder. Bolt ons don't do **** for them like a 2V. They would be a fun car to own but I wouldn't get one and go out looking for races in it.

Ya I've just definitely found that out from experience. Honestly the car looks really nice, I just kind of wish it had a little more ***** lol.

you cant exactly just boost them and expect much. dont they have very high compression? getting anything worthwhile out of them will take alot of money

They handle boost very well, even with the high compression. It really doesn't take much boost at all to get them moving insanely fast.

exactly how much boost and power are we talking here?
I have never seen a stock internal s2k worth a damn. maybe it will give an NA 2v a problem
