Do you think there will be a noticable difference in acceleration? i think i have more than enough power to not worry about that but who knows....
well if your going to a bigger tire anyway (mentioned above) I'd try it first b4 I swapped the gear. If you do both, 3.55s and the taller tire, IMO u will feel a difference, u know the centri needs the revs. Personally I dont see the need to run much past 120 anyway. I run mine to 6500 and with the 26.25 tire, I run out of gear 122-124 area and that's just past the 1/4 mile mark for me, so I'm set.

Oh and Mamba, a set of headers wouldn't have changed that outcome.
You don't think so? Headers and a tune? Most likely some gears, and I think the outcome would have been different.

Man I never get to race no one so I don't know what it's like and how the odds really stack up. All I basically know is numbers haha.

That is one bad mustang. My question is why the t-45, don't new edges come with the 3650?

the t-45 is staying even after a forged motor and 500+ rwhp

projectquick: I have the Tremec t-45 that ford put on 99-early 01 GT's. the 96-98's had a borg warner t-45.

These transmissions are considered "weaker" and inferior to the 3650 and some even claimed as "trouble-some". but i swear to god that the t-45's are a HELLUVA lot more reliable that the 3650 and just as good as i have seen many times in the recent years. This thing has taken a freaking straight *** whopping and i dont even have a single gear that grinds.

few weeks ago i called hanlon motorsports to see if i should upgrade to a tko but even they themselves recommeded to stick with the t-45 and just throw on a 26 spline input shaft, replace misc seals/bearings, and 3/4 shift fork and i should be good to 600 rwhp no problem.
