Default 2010 Camaro dyno/roadtest

364/371 untuned

Test vs Challenger vs Mustang: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=as2er...eature=related

I would hyperlink them better, but I'm tired and half drunk.

Car should see some 11's with nothing but exhaust and a tire.

Not a big fan of the styling though. Of course, I think it looks 10x better than an S197. The Challenger tromps them both in the looks department. IMFuc kingO.

I'm rather annoyed they took the Camaro SS vs the base V8 models of the Challenger and Mustang...

A better comparison would've been a Camaro (non SS) with a RT vs Mustang
or
SS Vs SRT8 VS GT 500...

How do you figure? Look at the price difference. SS vs GT500 is $20k difference. SS vs SRT8 is around $8k.....I feel like a Mustang guy comparing prices and all....

A couple things on the second vid. One I think both the camaro and the new mustang are ugly as sin. I'm really depressed in both of the bodies. The challenger looks like a freakin stud! Second, 13.0 is awesome for the SS, but I was expecting a little more out of it. And I was expecting more than 364 hp. Third, I can't believe the Challenger took the slalom like that. I thought it was gonna be way behind in that aspect. Fourth, did you notice the mustang is right in the middle in both of those tests? Maybe a hint to why they have been around all this time huh huh? Nice post

Not looking at price, looking at trim level.

RT and GT are middle trim. SS is the highest trim package Camaro offers. It's their 426hp vs the 400Hp of the LS1 and Ls2 Trim models. the RT is Dodge's 5.7L engine, not their 6.2L...

So, A more equal comparison (fug the dolla's) is RT vs GT vs Camaro LS2 (2010 V8 Camaro with 400HP) OR the SRT8, GT500, SS...apples to apples.

If they would've used the SRT8 for example it would've kept up/surpassed the camaro in speed (don't know about the slalom though).

Imagine a V6 only comaprison...man it would get ugly for both the Mustang and the Challenger (again).

What does the V8 Camaro start at?

not totally..well for the dodge it would be very ugly...nearly 7.0 seconds 0-60 because of its portly weight...Mustang is about 6.5 Camaro is 6.0

Even though there is a big weight difference between the Mustang and the Camaro, there's still a 90 hp difference (I'm assuming the sixxer motor didn't recieve any changes). And I think the sixxer Camaro can be had with a 6 speed auto or manual.
