I have a full face. It drives me crazy in July. I wish I had a open face, but I have the world's biggest head and this one fits me, so I guess I'm stuck.

....damn.

I did a quick search for motorcycle helmets on amazon, and found quite a few for less than 100 bucks. Some didn't say what snell rating they were though, just that they were DOT approved.

As it turns out Mishri's dad has a couple motorcycle helmets he's going to let us borrow. Since this will be my first ever trip out to the track it makes a lot more sense for me to just go ahead and do that vs. spending money on a helmet. If I fall in love with racing out there then I can always buy one later. But if for whatever reason it's not my thing then I won't have wasted money prematurely.

I appreciate the suggestions.

Good luck! (I foresee you buying a helmet in the near future)

hehe we'll see. I don't have a lot of faith in my driving "skills". I don't have training wheels aka an automatic transmission. Not to mention I'm kinda nervous about the whole thing since I've never done it before, haven't done a lot of burnouts and will be forced to spin the tires every run, etc..

This car for me was always about having something fun to drive that sounded and looked cool to me. The track wasn't planned on being a priority. But I'll try it out. There isn't much I won't try at least once.
