05 gt vs 03 cobra
short version:
05 bolt on gt vs my cobra
20 to 80 roll
cobra spins
shifts to way outside of powerband
wins by atleast 5 cars
Long:
so a buddy of mine has an 05 gt manual with cai and axle back exhaust, and ever since i got my cobra ive been looking for him, today i finally ran into him on the highway, went from a 20 roll and let off at 80, started in 2nd and just spun the tires, stayed even, shifted to third starting at about 3000 and just pulled. he was atleast 5 -8 cars back before i let off.
Just excited because this is only my second decent race in the cobra. even though it was a raping.

Nice! Sounds like you raced a Honda. Even with my 3.90 gears a 3k pull takes a second before it turns up. If I was gonna spend the money on a Ford, it most definately would not be an S197, but a Terminator.
no offense, but an '05 GT with a cai and axle-back exhaust isnt exactly a "decent race" for you. a decent race would be an F-body SS/TA with a lid and full exhaust. even then, youd probably still walk that, but a 5-8 car win sounds kinda boring. haha. but a win is a win for you. and thats all that matters.
But wouldn't the blower type/boost levels/supporting mods on the S197 make just as much of a difference? There are a lot of variables both ways.
