got killed
so i was driving down the street and a honda del sol pulls up next to me and says do you want to race im like sure. well i lost from a stop twice i couldnt keep traction through 1st or second. then we went from a roll and im an idiot wasnt thinking and started in second at 25 so i was at his bumper. we stopped and talked it was the si vtec version with a cam header back exhaust and a cai. point of the story is either way i dont want to lose to him again and i dont want to stay close to him either so i think my next mod is a trac-lock, 4.10 and practice my launching.
I think i know the problem, its the V6...
get a v8 or do a stroker turbo v6 with supporting driveline.
but hey, you can put the new dodge charger v6 down, i raced an auto one in my 99 v6 vert, and won 3 times from a dig to 100 by about 2 or 3 cars, i was stock btw

that sucks that you lost. but, like someone else said, they dont weigh anything. and the sohc vtec is i think @ 130 or 150hp, i cant remember. but if they did a swap and had a B16 in it, thats 160hp stock in a LIGHT *** car. so, no shame in that in my opinion. its not your fault Ford built an overweight, underpowered car.
If you were spinning through 1st and 2nd I'd recommond some wider/stickier tires and not 4.10s for your next mod. oh yeah.. get a procharger & new pistons for that 400rwhp and go smoke some modded GTs
