+1 if you are spinning already gears will do nothing but make you spin even more.

If he had a b16, stock he would be running 160hp, add the cams, exhaust, and CAI, his hp numbers probably weren't far off yours. In a car that weighs 800-1000 lbs less that's a receipe for disaster.
