I wouldn't put too much stock in dyno numbers; supposedly mine put down 296 rwhp before the stall (and ran 12.7 @ 109, full weight and 2.73s). Whatev.
100k is nothing for an LS1 if it's been properly cared for. Mine has 170k and my best ET to date just came last month. The engine has only recently started to run a bit rough (Ignition or maybe injector problem? Not sure). Of course I haven't been running boost in it, so take that for what it's worth.

That's true. If it was well maintained it may be good. If your really interested do a compression check. If you get good compression you at least know the motor is good. Take it to a speed shop and get it looked over and see what they can tell you.

Chances are it is fine if it was taken care of, however there are still better cars out there for money.

I would NOT buy that car. Over 100K miles, stock (weak 4L60E) trans...and the Maggie hoods are overkill..

I would buy a used C6...

But even at 6 psi that LS1 shoud be getting more than 388rwhp...

I'd consider it. Take it to your own mechanic and have it gone over with a a fine tooth comb. Compression test, the works and go from there. Sounds like either a really good deal or an absolute nightmare. Nothing in between.

Ummmm......she did buy it....I'm pay attention broke these days It's the ex wife/current GF.......LOL.....don't ask.

Friggin long *** day Sat.....drove from Tulsa to IL and back with a trailer and picked up the Vette. Yesterday driving it for the first time was quite amusing. I was tooling around getting acclimated doing the mild to moderate acceleration and wondering WTF.....couldn't hear much blower noise. At this point an Audi mid size....think it was the RS4 or S6 rolled by and romped on it coming off a light. Yes, I couldn't resist and WOT resulted. Good lord did I ever hear the blower at that point......it howled......and I suddenly got impressed.....so did the Audi I made another roll run from 10mph on an entrace ramp to 80ish and was very pleased with the noises coming from under the hood and the way it runs. It's very civilized but fast. I'm working very hard on getting the green light to take it to the track.....we'll see.
