I wish they wouldn't have ditched the turbo on the eclipse. When they do another re-design they should bring back the tubo for the eclipse and call it the eclipse evolution and just ditch the AWD GSX so it doesn't compete with the EVO.

 

I dunno. That new V6 they run in the GT's is kinda nice. It's got some pretty good ***** for a little n/a V6. They outta TT the 6 and convert it to RWD.

True, that would be sweet, but it would be way to cool for mitsu to do that! On a side note, I just saw a commercial for the new Maxima, damn thing comes with 290 horsepower! That's more than my 05 350Z. I don't know if I want to live in a world where a maxima is a good race for me, stock to stock in the Z! (no worrys in the teggy, LOL)

 

The Z is a fair bit lighter though, isn't it? And I imagine geared differently as well.

Can't say for sure. I know the Z weighs around 32 -3300 pounds or so. I'm not sure of the maximas weight. I would hope it's geared better, but still. That's pretty beastly for a run of the mill family sedan thing, LOL.

 

V6 new edges run mid to high 15s. You mods basically look cool and that's about it. If you want to run high 13s, you are looking at a charger or some spray. Sorry, but that's about all a 3.8 runs. It's just not a performance car.

PS Before anybody jumps down my throat, I know there are exceptions to the rule

 

There are some 3.8's below high 13's with f/i or spray. Just on V6power.net theres 25 of them in the 12's or below. Lol I know it's not many just throwin it out there.

 

yeah that is a lot of power for a maxima. Even my moms avalon has 268HP.
