I've seen a couple of s197s put down less than 165 on the dyno, especially the autos (150-155). With that said his car and the s197 he raced there could have been less then a 5 hp difference and with the 3.73s it could have given the OP that slight advantage. And I know weight doesn't play as big a role once your moving so I'm not going to play that card lol.
Good run OP!

they've been nice, it seems like you were honest enough, but there is no way in HELL you started to ever so slowly pull on the top end with a 2v.

I'll go with driver mod on this one. Most if not all of the cars should have at least floated by on the top end. Especially the Ls1 and the Mach. S197 GT Auto vs Manual is almost identical on 0-60 and 1/4mile due to the tranny gears on the Auto and with a Tune they are = to a MACH1.

S197 GT putting down 150RWHP that's on 6 cylinders I'm guessing (V8 with two misfiring cylinders)...or it was a S197 V6 dyno you "heard" about.

Driver mod= racing from a dig, not roll racing.

I don't agree. If you are in teh wrong gear from a roll you will lose just as if you can't shift correctly off the line. Auto's are even worse in a roll, if you let the car shift for you it may or may not downshift when you step on it to give you push you need.

I'm pretty sure that's directed towards the S197. Guys, you've got to stop making it sound like the S197 is way heavier than the New Edges. There's like a 150 lb difference, if that.

Rebel, I with you man, lol!
