Default drag strip prep

So I'm taking my car to the strip for the first time. I was just wondering what i should do to prepare. It's a daily driver car and I'm not gonna go all out and take out the spare and seats for weight but just little things. Like I'm debating should i keep my heat off, or turn it on full blast as hot as it'll go to the feet to take out heat from the engine or keep it off to put more power to the engine. It's an auto too so should i just put my foot to the floor and see what happens? Iv got a 92 racing tune in it now.

I would turn off the a/c and running the heater at full blast will heat up the inside of the car pretty quick I dont believe it will help any but it is worth a try.If you have stock rubber I would drive around the water and do a light burn out.I ran a best time with the spare out and a full tank of gas. Make sure you are lined up in the groove this is the most important thing you can.

Running the heater uses an electric motor, which increases alternator load and reduces power(maybe not enough to matter though). Check fluids, make sure you have a radiator overflow, no leaks, get a helmet, tires in good condition, no mechanical problems etc.
